Areas of Practice

Chidren, Adolescents, and Families

For children, therapy can help them process their emotions and strengthen relationships with their family members. I utilize play therapy and emotion regulation techniques with children while also supporting their caregivers. With adolescents, our goal is to help them process emotional conflicts to be able to successfully navigate the responsibilities of being a teenager. I believe parents are the experts on their children, and patients know themselves best. Family therapy can be incorporated into your child’s treatment or identified as the primary goal of therapy. I see children from ages 5 and up.

For many adults, therapy can help them understand the roles they played within their family growing up and how those roles impact their relationships and behaviors presently. I utilize insight oriented and cognitive behavioral therapy interventions throughout the therapy process.
